About New Long Cheng
New Long Cheng is a chinese restaurant in Syracuse, New York. It is listed at 1005 S Salina St, Syracuse, NY 13202, which places it among the local businesses of Syracuse that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Syracuse; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (315) 410-2288. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, newlongcheng.com.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 381 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Syracuse is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Syracuse follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I ordered the sesame chicken and pork fried rice combo. The sesame chicken had some stone-hard peices of meat that made it impossible to eat without it stabbing me in my gums. It was unchewable due to the gross hard texture. First and last time ordering from here

I get food from here just about every other Monday and I love it. The food is always good, itβs hot, I can call ahead and pick it up in 10-15 mins without ever having to wait. The workers are always very friendly. Iβm grateful this place exists! It is one of my top three local Chinese spots! Donβt overlook it just because of the neighborhood itβs in, Iβve never had any issue there.

People pan handling outside the store. Plexy glass all over to keep ppl from jumping the counter or stealing. Good food, quick service.

They were rude. Uncooperative and uncompromising. Then the food was old and stale, even unforkable. The young lady was nice and responsive. The elder was not. He wanted yo get more money out of my order instead of pleasing his long-time customer.
